Patricia Marie Kraus (nee Mack), 86, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on June 1st at her home in Aurora, Ohio after a battle with cancer.
Pat is survived by her husband of 64 years, Wallace Kraus; children, Mary (James) Horley and Jeffrey (Lori) Kraus; grandchildren, Monica (Daniel) Rice, Justin Kraus, and Cameron Kraus; brother, Daniel Mack; and nephew, Scott Thacker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Raymond Mack; sister, Doris Thacker; and daughter, Heidi Kraus.
Pat was born on February 24, 1929 in Cleveland, Ohio to Margaret and Raymond Mack. A graduate of Orange High School and Dyke College, she was a home-maker and also worked outside the home as a bookkeeper. She married her high school sweetheart Wallace Kraus, whom she met on a blind date, on March 9, 1951, and they recently celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary. Pat and her husband Wally lived in North Royalton, and recently moved to Aurora to be closer to their family.
Pat enjoyed traveling with her husband, and had many hobbies including; making porcelain dolls, solving word search puzzles, collecting salt and pepper shakers, and cleaning. She was an active member of North Royalton Baptist Church.
A private family funeral will take place at Blessing-Hine Funeral Home with interment at Crown Hill Cemetery. All are welcome to attend a memorial service to celebrate Pat''s life at Faith Baptist Church, 9890 SR 43 in Streetsboro on June 6th at 2pm. Condolences can be shared at blessingfuneralhome.com.
