Richard (Jerry) Fijalkovich, age 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 10, 2020.

Jerry was born on August 4, 1937 in Grindstone, PA to Joseph and Nellie (Drozek) Fijalkovich. He proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1955 - 1958. Just before he began his tour of duty, Jerry was at a party where he met the love of his life, Arlene Weiser. They married in 1961 and spent 36 wonderful years together. As a result of their union, three children were born. Jerry retired as a successful business owner and traded the stress of the everyday for a simple life in Carrollton, or as he called it, "God's Country."

Whether it was during his Navy days swimming at La Jolla Beach, family fishing trips to Tweed, Ontario or finding tranquility alongside Leesville Lake, Jerry enjoyed a lifetime near the water. Jerry was known for his compassion towards all of God's creatures— family, friends, strangers and animals alike. From traveling the world, to serving up his signature margaritas, to line dancing with friends, he truly knew how to have a good time. Jerry will be remembered for his generosity, sincerity and gregarious disposition. Above all, he was remarkably kind.

We lay to rest our beloved Dad and Grandpa, together again with our Mom and Grandma, Arlene. Loving father of John, Frank (Kathleen) and Terri Sears. Proud grandfather of Jessica, Alyssa, John, Ian, Klaire Hofstetter (Wesley), Collin, Brayden Sears and Caleb Sears. Brother of Joseph (deceased), Tom (deceased), Andy, Frank and John. Uncle, cousin and a good friend to many.
