Ronald L. Fuller, RN
May 30, 1958- Feb 9, 2021
It is with great sadness that we are mourning the passing of our Beloved Papa Bear and Great Sage. Ronald L Fuller, age 62 of Twinsburg, passed away suddenly in the early hours of February 9, 2021.
Ron was preceded in death by his mother Catherine George (Fuller). Beloved Husband of Donna (Casey), loving father of Jana Fuller, Julianne Lambeth (Fuller), Alexander Fuller, loving stepdad of Laura Casey Solovyev. Devoted Grandpa to Brooklyn, Mckenna, Emelyn, Greyson and Kennison. Grandfather, friend and mentor to many. Ron also leaves behind his English Bulldog Otis.
Ron was an advocate of animal rescue and participated in many rescue benefits. Ron was devoted in his faith and attended SS. Cosmas and Damian Parish in Twinsburg, where he also filled Adoration hours.
Ron was a motorcycle enthusiast. His son Alex, who has cerebral palsy, rode sidecar with Ron on his Harley 1975 Road King Classic when Ron made it handicap accessible for Alex to enjoy the ride in the adapted sidecar that Ron put on the motorcycle for him. Ron was a Jack of all trades and master of some. He had recently completed a wine cellar in his home, and he made his own wines. He liked to work in his yard where he had put in a waterfall, palm trees, fire table and landscape lighting-all in place of the Ocean Isle vacation he was not at presently. He spent his summer off time there with his wife and family -especially with grandson Greyson. He taught Greyson how to fish, not sure how many they caught. Ron loved music..all genres. His favorites were Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, Kenny Chesney and George Straight. He was sure that he could dance and had much fun trying.
Ron was one of those special people who touched the life of everyone he met. He always had a joke to tell. Some good, others not so good, some he made up. While Ron was something of a jokester, he was also a kind and compassionate man. He was passionate about all that he undertook.
In Ron's second career he found his first love- nursing!! He became a Registered Nurse at Kent State University Twinsburg and loved becoming a Golden Flash! He wore his KSU ballcaps everywhere. Ron was an amazing person. He was a true professional. Ron was a behavioral health nurse at North Coast Behavioral Health Center. He loved his role their- he never called it a job.
From his colleagues:" He was always full of energy and hope. He treated everyone he touched with dignity and respect." He always had time to lend an ear and "listen to the longest of stories". Many people have remembered how he went out of his way to make newcomers feel welcome and put them at ease with some made up story or yet another "really poor joke". "He made work fun and made time for all of the patients he cared for." "The patients especially appreciated his sense of humor". "Ron loved to keep a smile on your face."
At home, he had a smile on his face all day, every day….and that is what we will miss most. We love you Papa Bear.
After cremation, a Celebration of Ron's Life will be held in May due to COVID 19. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Ron's favorite charities the St Jude Hospital, Rescue Ohio English Bulldogs, Canine Lifeline and the Humane Society of Summit County or the cause of your choice.
