Obituary

AURORA-Timothy Blair, 62, of Aurora, died suddenly on Thursday, April 7, 2022 in his home. He was born July 31, 1959 in Toledo, the son of Korean War Marine veteran Tom Bradley Blair and Anita Faye Land (Blair).

Tim was a graduate of Huntington University in Indiana.  He enjoyed gardening at home and in the Aurora community garden, and one could often find him canning the fruits of his labor. He was known amongst family and close friends for his skills in the kitchen and ability to entertain. Tim was a handyman who could fix anything, and he spent much of his youth spelunking, backpacking, horsepacking, and rock climbing with the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) in Wyoming.  It was at NOLS where he learned cooking, leadership, and outdoor survival skills, which highly influenced him the rest of his life. He was a business owner and enjoyed mentoring other budding small business owners. Most of all, Tim was a very knowledgeable and generous man who took immense joy in spending time with his grandchildren during the last couple years of his life.

Tim is survived by his mother Faye Blair of Summerville, SC; his daughter Jessica Orosz of Aurora; two sisters Susan Befus of Summerville, SC and Rebecca (Paul) Luedtke of Nyon, Switzerland; and by two grandchildren E Adraei and Oakley Orosz, whom he loved dearly. He was a beloved son, brother, father, step-father, grandfather, and uncle.

A graveside committal service will be led by Dr Roger Taylor and will take place on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery, 8592 Darrow Road, Twinsburg. If you cannot attend the graveside service, a Celebration of Life gathering at Bertram Inn in Aurora will take place from 6-8 pm on the 13th, and food will be served as well. Friends are welcome to attend and reminisce with the surviving family.

Caring and Professional Arrangements for the Blair family have been entrusted to the care of the Hine Funeral Home, Twinsburg.

Condolences may be left on Tim's memorial page at www.hinefh.com .

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to https://www.nols.edu/en/portal/alumni/giving/ in his name; he would be delighted to know others are benefiting from the school who deeply shaped him into the adult and hard worker he became.
