Vivian Rall Smith, 72, of Twinsburg, Ohio passed away on October 25, 2024, and is now at peace. She was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on May 10, 1952, to the late George and Pearline Mitchell. Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Smith; her brother, Clinton Campbell; and her sister Dorothy "Tee Nite" Ross.
Vivian was a longtime resident of Twinsburg Heights, where she raised her 3 sons, until relocating to Kent, Ohio. She accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Twinsburg, Ohio. Later relocating to Chattanooga, Tennessee where she attended Transforming Faith Baptist Church, under pastorship of Jerome and Latasha Rogan. Upon returning to Twinsburg, she rejoined Mt. Olive Baptist Church under the pastorship of Pastor Davion Arnold. She attended R.B. Chamberlin High School and graduated in 1971.
Vivian had a pure and giving heart, she enjoyed traveling, shopping, going to bingo with her sister, spending time with her sons, and siblings, grandkids and great grandkids. She had such an infectious smile, and the love that she showed was always unconditional.
Vivian will be dearly missed by her family members and friends. She was a loving mother of Kenneth Rall, Ronald (Kelly) Rall, and Anthony (Jennifer) Rall; a cherished grandmother of Terrence Sprinkle, Kai Rall, Ursula Rall, Kenneth Rall, Jr., Aneesa Howard, Shawn Rall, Jerri Rall, Olivia Rall, Vanessa Sandor, Damario Rall, Toni Braxton (Eric), Jaquan Ransome (Maryissa), and Casandra Ransome. Beloved great-grandmother of Adrian, Jaidyn, Bella, Giovanti, Spencer, Bryson, Savannah, and Mya; dear sister of Rosie Campbell, George E. Mitchell, Jr. (Debbie), Charlie Mitchell, Sherrie Lardell, Doretha Saunders and John Gideon Jr. Close friends of Martha King, Nicki Houston, Yolanda Jones, Barbara Williams, and Toni Wyche, godmother to Aiden Houston; and a host of nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2024, from 4 – 7 pm at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 8592 Darrow Road, Twinsburg, Ohio 44087. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024 at Mt. Olive Church, 2098 Oxford Street, Twinsburg, Ohio 44087 at 11 am. And Burial will be at Crown Hill at 2 pm.
