Wallace Carl Kraus, 90, went home to be with the Lord on November 7th.
Wally is survived by his; children, Mary (James) Horley and Jeffrey (Lori) Kraus; grandchildren, Monica (Daniel) Rice, Justin Kraus, and Cameron Kraus; and nephew, Scott Thacker. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Patricia Kraus; parents, John and Mary Kraus; and daughter, Heidi Kraus.
Wally was born on December 29, 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio. A graduate of John Adams High School, he then served in both the Merchant Marines and the Army during WWII and Korea. He later worked as a salesman of school furniture.
Wally enjoyed traveling, and had many hobbies including; cake decorating, baking cookies, and cooking for his family. He also loved cars, puzzles, card games, and was a wonderful painter.
A private family funeral will take place at Blessing-Hine Funeral Home with interment at Crown Hill Cemetery. All are welcome to attend a memorial service to celebrate Wally''s life at Independence Village of Aurora, 505 S. Chillicothe, on Saturday November 12th at 2:30pm.
