Warren A. Braund, 93, of Bedford, passed away on July 10, 2023 in his home with family by his side.
Warren was born on May 27, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio to Cecil and Irene (Koenig) Braund. A 1948 graduate of Bedford High School, he went on to serve in the United States Navy from 1948 - 1952, residing in a submarine most of the time. After an honorable discharge, Warren chose a position as an Electronic Salesman. Warren married Fannie Abbas in 1951. They raised four wonderful children together and watched their legacy grow. Warren was always there for his family. Warren's favorite pastime was camping and traveling in a motor home. He has an outstanding model train set up still in his home today. Warren was known for his macrame work on outdoor chairs. He would weave very thick, brightly colored yarn and redesign chairs. His designs were beautiful and often personalized.
Warren leaves a large and loving family to share his memory; his Wife of 72 years, Fannie; Children: Thomas (Dona) Braund, Linda Chuppa, Edward (Sharon) Braund, and David (Jill) Braund; Grandchildren: Crystal (Michael), Bryan (Julie), Nachelle, Michael (Amy), Matthew (Brina), Alec, Spencer, Adam (Heather), Carolyn (James), Ryan (Veronica) and Katie; Great-Grandchildren: Jeri, Loraine, Colleen, Susan, Alyssa, Ethyn, Mia, Ava, Blake, Lyla, Stella, McKenna, Dylan, Joey, Emma, Shane, Gia, Leeha and Cora; and sister: Marilyn (Lew) Mothersbaugh.
In addition to his parents, Warren was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Albert Chuppa.
The family will receive guests from 2 - 4 pm, Tuesday, July 18, 2023 followed by a brief service at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 8592 Darrow Road, Twinsburg, Ohio.
