William C. Fischer

May 7, 1946 to January 7, 2021

On January 7, 2021, we lost our beloved husband and father.  Bill was married to Kathy for 48 ½ years.  Vicki was his only child.  Bill leaves behind his beloved sister Marge Milliron.  They shared many phone conversations over the last few years, checking on one another and reminiscing about their lives as brother and sister.  Bill was a loving uncle to Norm & Kelly Milliron, Aleyah Milliron, Amanda Milliron, and Gio Harris.  Loving uncle and godfather to Mike Balogh.

Bill was enlisted in the United States Army from 1965-1968.  He was in the Signal Corp division in Vietnam.  He didn't believe in the politics of the war, but he was a true patriot.  He loved his county and the flag.

At West Tech High School, Marge showed Kathy a picture of her brother Bill.  That is where Bill and Kathy's journey begins.  Bill and Kathy married on June 10, 1972.  On November 13, 1973, they welcomed their daughter Vicki.  Bill and Kathy took their marriage vows seriously: for better or worse, in sickness and in health.  Family was important to him.  If you needed anything, or just wanted to talk, he was always there.  He was a man of integrity and honor.

On a lighter note, Bill loved animals – except cats.  That is until Vicki brought Bubbas into the house.  They had a set routine.  We refer to Bubbas as his grandchild.  Bubbas is the king of the roost.

Bill struggled with health issues for years, but always managed to provide and persevere.  You are no longer suffering.  Walk, run, and be free.  Do everything you wanted to do that your health prevented in the physical world.  Watch over your family until we see you on the other side.
