WILLIAM J. STRABIC, age 89, of Stow, entered into rest December 22, 2010. Loving father of James (Jenny); cherished grandfather of Marc (Marina) Strabic of Portland, OR and Allison Strabic-Gunn of Los Angeles, CA; devoted great grandfather of Lillian Gunn. Mr. Strabic will be greatly missed by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary and son William Jr.. William was a proud WW II Veteran having served in the 82nd Airborne. He was involved in D-Day Invasion of Normandy, the Battle of the Bulge, and the invasions of Belgium and Germany. He was awarded two Purple Hearts. The family will receive friends WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 29 FROM 4-8 P.M. AT THE BLESSING FUNERAL HOME, 8592 DARROW RD., TWINSBURG, OH (1/2 mile S. of 1-480 Rt. 91 exit) where funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 30 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Crown Hill Cemetery.
