Willie Lee Moore, 78, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 1,
2023. He was born in Waverly, Alabama on July 1, 1945, to the late
Milton Moore and Johnnie Lou Walker (nee Murph). Willie was the
second of two sons birthed from his parents, whom have all preceded
him in death. In his early years, Willie accepted Christ at an early age
and was baptized in Waverly, Alabama. His mother was later remarried
to Willie K. Walker whom Willie respected as a stepfather who also
preceded him in death.

Willie relocated to Cleveland, Ohio in 1964 where he attended
Cleveland Public Schools and later graduated high school from Thomas
Edison. He met the love of his life, Willie Ruth Moore, soon after
graduation. They marveled at the fact that they shared the same first
and last name. The two united in holy matrimony on December 17,
1966. The Moore's welcomed two sons into the world to complete
their family: Terrence Eugene Moore and Tywunn Eugene Moore. In
February 2023, Willie lost his oldest son, Terrence suddenly to death.

Willie was a good, hard-working man and a great provider for his
family. He worked for 35 years as a Crane Operator at U S Steel until he
retired in 2001. The Moore's were also entrepreneurs who ran
successful businesses over the years; Moore's Delicatessen, Whip-n-Dip
Ice Cream Parlor, and Moore's Property Management for rental
properties owned.

Willie loved his sports, especially football and basketball. In his leisure
time, he enjoyed watching games with his family. Willie's favorite
pastime was traveling with his beloved Will, his wife. They loved
travelling Las Vegas and down south.

In 2007, Willie fell in love all over again upon the birth of his one and only granddaughter, Tyra, whom he affectionately called "Bing". He wore being a Granddad like a badge of honor.  She was the apple of his eye, and they spent so much time together over the years that meant the world to him.

Willie was well taken care of by his beloved wife, Willie Ruth, when he
was overcome with illness over the years. Willie adored his wife! He
absolutely loved her wearing red lipstick and requested that she wear it
each day when he arrives from work. The couple was blessed with
almost 57 years of marriage.

Willie will be deeply missed by his family. Beloved husband of Willie
Ruth Moore; Loving father of Tywunn Moore; cherished grandfather of
Tyra Moore; dear nephew of Barbara Murph; Uncle of Cynthia and
JoAnn Moore; special caregiver, Erika Knox; bro-in law of Willie (Edith)
Moore, Mary McGowan, and Adrian "Niecy" Moore; dear friend of
Walter Lee, Willie Tyree, and Major Withers; and a host of nieces,
nephews, extended family and friends.
